Four years ago, the junior event was organized parallel to the main event with only 5 competitors registered. This year’s the Gran canaria wind & wave Festival reports a record registered competitors of 24 riders, divided into 3 categories (12-13, 14-16 and 16-18 years). It also highlights the variety of nationalities involved, Spain, Hawaii, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Poland, France and Italy, confirming the great international impact of the event promises.

The Young Generation once again had a day all to themselves.
The conditions somewhat improved in the late afternoon after competitors were on hold due to poor competition conditions.
