Nature’s Playground

Hvide Sande the small town in the middle of the Holmsland Dunes, placed around the artificial canal connecting Ringkøbing Fjord to the North Sea, in the western part of Central Denmark will hosts Scandinavia’s biggest water sports festival.from 1 to 9th September.

Preparations are in full swing in Hvide Sande, the locals and the event crew get together to set up this years upgraded version of Waterz. The daily schedule contains a mixture of water sport competitions, expression sessions and demos, workshops, school programs including activities for all ages.

Professional Windsurfing World Tour stop:
The second part of the festival includes the PWA windsurfing world tour stop for the high performance slalom discipline. Attending are men and women windsurfing professionals among many other top athletes from around the world. The racing format is, down wind slalom with a elimination system where competitors compete in groups, then it is only the top best advancing towards the next racing rounds, until the Final best competitors meet in a exciting final sail of at the end of the day.
