The 28th edition, the World Championship Gran Canaria will bring together 32 best windsurfers in the men’s category (maximum registered ) , the 17 most outstanding women on the international wave circuit and the 21 most promising up and coming young juniors on the planet. Early in the morning of Sunday, July 3 , the official registration was held for all participants.

Due to the not so extreme sailing conditions the youths were scheduled first straight after the annual group picture was taken:

The 28th edition of the windsurfing world tour stop in Gran Canaria attracts the participation of 75 leading riders on the professional circuit of the Professional Windsurfers Association in the men’s, women’s and juniors divisions, who will visit the island on behalf of 14 different nationalities.
