Time was spend preparing for the days to come where the forecast looks as we are going to get some great slalom action. First elimination is already up at and skippers meeting is set for Sunday at 10am and first possible start at 11 am.

Day 2

Day 2 of the WATERZ festival in Hvide Sande, Denmark offered great conditions already from the morning. Skippers meeting for the Races was set at 10 am and first start at 11 am. With typical Danish autumn weather, where clouds and showers were mixed with bright blue skies and sun it has been a beautiful day. Wind from south west, means off shore wind and a race course far out on the Fjord. But that didn´t stop the race crew from pulling of 2 full eliminations and half way through a third elimination.

Today the WATERZ festival also hosted the second day of a workshop with Davy Scheffers. The workshop was held at Bork Havn, that is a great windsurf spot at the southern part of Ringkøbing Fjord. The focus was to improve the windsurf level of the participants no matter their level when staring. All together 9 people improved their skills and had an amazing day I the company of the always happy and almost flying Dutchmen!

Day 3

Day 3 The Seaweed

Wind was all ready kicking in from the morning on but a bit of seaweed made it hard to have fair conditions for competition.
So unfortunately there were no counting heats done.

Bright side is that the forecast says a lot of wind for the coming days and with that, it should be all cleared for competition..!

Day 4

Day 4 with perfect conditions for slalom racing

Waterz17_sunday10_batch2-46

Sun was out, offshore wind and flat water. The third elimination was quickly done, and the 4th elimination was started. With the 4th elimination done it would give a discard, so the crew worked hard to get that 4th elimination done. As usual it was very close racing in both elimination 3 and 4, but with the discard everything was more or less back to normal, with Matteo Iachino taking the lead og the event followed by Antoine Albeau and Arnon Dagan following..

Waterz17_sunday10_batch2-20

The race crew is fighting to get the 5th elimination done and here at 7 pm we still need 2 women’s heat and 4 from the men. So head judge call it off for today, skippers meeting is set for tomorrow at 9am first possible start at 9.30

Forecast looks exciting, as a storm is brewing in the North Sea…
